l doubt the dealers are going to be caught in a stampede for series 2. The changes are fairly minor for most remembering that most people choose auto. The car market has flattened so demand is down. l dont think it will be long after release of BA2 before the dealers resume their slash and burn tactics.

Well, time will tell. I think I am going to wait till we get closer to Mk2 release date to see what happens. But long term, I think the T56 will pay for itself.

I suspect the T56 should attract better resale than the T5.

I will definetly cope with extra torque from modifying.

Dealer also went on to say that Ford is unlikely to discount the Mark2 for at least a few months. And fleet discounts are likely to be quite small also.

I doubt this will be the case. When the BA first arrived in 02 and the wait for Turbo's was unbelievable Other people and mysekf were still able to buy at fleet pricing. (It just took some shopping around) I don't see Ford having the same massive interest and supply issues as they did then.

On your choice of car, if it was me, and I wanted a manual to modify I would wait for the Mk II. :spoton:

If you don't want a manual - then it's not a big difference - none of the changes revolve around building the cars better - just options/specs and colours so waiting for SII may not be worth the effort!
