Features I'm after include auto-window-up and perimeter sensor. My EB has a mongoose alarm with these features but does anyone know of any others or have had an aftermarket alarm fitted to their BA? Not sure who would hook up your alarm? Im pretty sure any alarm installer can do it.

I havent heard of the brand before, but it comes with 3 year manufacturers warranty and lifetime installers warranty. Also, I've bought gear from BDL before and they are very good. Im probably gonna go with it, but I'm still looking around so keep the suggestions coming, its probably more than just me you're helping here. Also, if its been cold you can leave the heater on when you jump out so when it starts the heater is running and the car is warm when you jump in, same for air con. However, I have been told that you can't bypass the Ford "Smart Lock" system fitted to all late model Fords, so this auto-start feature is useless. Anyone know any more? But lets face it, unless you have the car in the driveway where a standard alarm would be heard, you would probably only return to your car to find it gone or damaged. You gotta ask yourself "How fast can I run 300m, 600m, 1000m" If you really want to do something hi-tech, go for the satnav/tracking system that will tell you where your car is and/or going to.IMO - Just a gimmick but different stroles for different folksAfter all how many XR6T's are gonna get stolen....they aren't exactly the rarest cars about so they dont fit the profile for organised crime and joy riders will usually be deterred by an alarm and the imobiliser system. It's more likely that a window will be smashed to steal your cars contents.Oh I almost forgot to mention, I got the standard Ford fitted system.
