Under the dash, its not like a airbag push button behind the bumper.I have a mate in the US who hit a block of concrete that fell off the back of a truck on the freeway. He hit it in his new 33Ci with the LHS wheels and his aribags went off even though the bumper was not touched. Ripped the front wheel off though. Did yours Ivan? I didn't notice to tell you the truth. Considerably worse than choosing not to be insured is to pay the insurance premiums and NOT be covered by your insurance. Guest Scootre Guests Posted 06/08/04 10:17 AM Share Posted 06/08/04 10:17 AM Why is it that all the boyz who drive the rex's and the skylines... why is it they can't string a single sentence togther and seem to have a collective IQ of about 25?And this guy with no insurance... he hasn;t got a bloody brain.Yeah... very lucky to not be seriously injured. I didn't quite get the story though... did he say the truck was stationary? I would have thought that hitting a stationary truck at 100kph and having no driver's airbag deploy would have been the right cocktail for guts all over the windshield?!? I'm no accident investigation guru, but something doesn't add up with this story. - if the truck was stationery there would be alot more damage than that, and one corpse - how can the gauges remain where they are? Being electronic then they would all fall to zero when power is lost - unless there is a feature that freezes them in their current state, and what would you hook this up to if this is the case - probably the air bag sensor! - if insurance was an issue then obviously money is tight, but how many banks will give you a loan without siting a certificate of currency?OK, I'm just being a pesimistic *beep* and probably had a few too many, but WTF???
