(they've removed the pictures since I read about it a month ago)

He wasn't insured either.

I loved the quote from the drivers cousin, code named MzTa^L3b

"hey pplz, dis d freddo drivers cousin, hes ok, jus a shattered pinky n a scar on his forehead, newaiz 2 d point, 4get all the stories uve heard, he was 50 metres away from work and THAT truck was picking up something from there, the drivers b4 him were also suprised by the truck n wat happened 2 him was he fell asleep behind the wheel, that's y der was no skid marks or swerve marks...newaiz finally, if your interested in buying ne pieces or that car including d skyline backlights jus let me kno n I can set sumfin up...thanx n hope u enjoyed d show...even thoughwe were sh*tting ourselves coz we thought he was dead lolz!!! "

And the story from the driver himself, code named MzTa^L3b

"Hey this is the driver of the freddo wrx... For all u people out there ill tell u wat happened and ill answer all the questions u guys have asked.

Well this is how it happened.....

I work night shift I start work at 7pm everyday, most of the time I get home from work and sleep all day to bout 6pm. But on this day I slept till about 2pm because I just got paid and wanted to go shopping so off I went shopping and id only had like 3 or 4 hours of sleep and I was still abit tired but I managed anyway it got to about 6pm and I had to get going to drop my mate (tomas smetana a.k.a bcrazy wrx) off at home so I could make it to work on time. So I got him home to patterson lakes at about 6:30pm and headed off to work feeling fine. I had to get to keysy by 7pm so I had no time to lose anyway I was making good time and I remember I turned into the street for my work (olive grv) and then drivin half way down the street I blacked out all I remember was seeing the back of the truck for a split second and saying "oh sh*t!". that's all I remember then next thing I woke up in the ambulance and I heard my brother yelling "I wanna see my brother, let me see my brother" and then I blacked out again and next thing I heard was the engine of the chopper start up I heard that for bout 5 seconds then the next thing was I woke up in the emergency room wit my family by my side..... Id have to say im the luckiest guy alive, and there is really someone looking down on me. I came out of it with I split fore head, a split eye lid and I shattered the bone in my little finger on my left hand. And that's it ive almost fully recovered. Just my finger is still cant move it very well but it all good.

Now to answer all your questions...

1. The does have abs and there a no skid marks because I didnt hit the brakes and yes I did hit the truck at 100km/h the reason it got stuck there is cos its a standard feature in every australian car for it to get stuck at the speed you where doing its for investorgation purposes.

2. With the airbags steering wheel. The steering wheel isnt after market its a stock 2000 model wrx wheel. The air bags didnt come out and I dont know why. We a in the process of taking the car yard where I got the from to court.

3. And as for (darkstar) you and the guy from performance forums a both talking sh*t everything my cousin (mzta^l3b) wrote was correct so shut the f**k up.

4. Yes I was the only person thank god for that coz if someone was with me they would have been as good as dead.

5. The reason there is a shoe there is because they stripped my cloths off me they to my pants and got a blood sample off them to see if I had been drinking.

And that's it as for the car its rooted. The thing I saved a the seats, rimz, brakes, boot, spoiler, stereo system, and a door. Every thing else is stuffed my engine block broke in half the oil sump and the oil filter a now positioned where the front grill is meant to be lolz. The transmission broke in half. The car is a total mess and the worst thing off all I have no insurence so bad luck to me anyway thanks for hearing me out if anyone has any questions just pm me this is my cousins account so you can msg me on this thanks again."

It's amazing that he survived.

Brian

I think it's amazing that someone could drive any car without insurance. Pure stupidity.

Answer to the drivers "airbag not deploying" question, The sensors are in the front bumper aren't they. Look at the pics and there is the answer. If he hit a wall, they would've deployed.

@ Crisso

I'm sure there are websites out there that can translate that to proper english for you. (I can't remember url's off hand). I also had trouble reading it.

These are the sort of pictures that stick in your head and make you realise that driving while tired can be a pretty lethal combination. I've driven plenty of times tired and thought to myself nah I wont pull over because the sooner I get home the sooner I'll be in bed. It's a bad way of thinking but everyone does it. I'd hate that to be my car under the semi.

It is law in all states that trucks must have an "anti-decapitation" bumper built beneath their tray.

The fact that this truck doesn't and also that the airbag didn't deploy certainly makes habib a lucky guy.

It's funny how some speedos get stuck - mine didn't. Did yours Ivan?
