Some of them love it

They always learn something new and are astonished at how good the XR handles

I did roll my Ford Bronco 13 years back through a pile of Trees, guess I've been trying to forget that one.

OK.. none of these are for the faint hearted.... and you want to be able to do the sport before you try

1. Skiing the Palicades@ Squaw Valley Lake Tahoe USA... it so steep that when you stand on the cliff edge you can look down and see the bottom of the mountain through your skiis.... (ie around 60 degree drop around 450 m)

2 Kawasaki ZX10 @ 270Km/h betwwen Cairns and innisvale.... you really feel the rush and when your head gets above the visor you act as an air brake

3 Bungee jumping from a hot air balloon Nevada desert USA from approx 1000m

4 Scuba diving with 33 grey nurse sharks.. lol... my feline friend wasn't so thrilled about it.

I just remembered that I went under the back of a truck at 120km/h on James Ruse Drive North Parramatta about 8 and a half years ago. My poor Ford Laser went all the way under up to the windscreen then bounced off the truck and spun around a couple of times and slammed into the guard rail. Somehow I ended up in the passenger seat and the window shattered and landed on the side of my face. Mind you I was getting married in 5 weeks. :mssux0rs:

The other thing was I was about two kms. from home and I blew up my gearbox, I was about 18 at the time. I was walking back home and 2 German Shepards starting barking at me and I thought they were chained up. Next thing I turn around and they were right on my tail. I couldnt believe how fast I could run, I thought they would eat me alive. :msm:

I lived for 7 years in PNG back in the 80s and had a few extreme experiences up there.

Diving off a liveaboard boat around Manus Island and New Ireland jump over the side into bottomless water 300 ft plus visibility and instantly 3-4 silver tip sharks circle in to see what all the splashes were about. This happened on every dive we did in this area.

Shark feed in about 30 feet of water tied off a tuna to the bottom and a buoy so it floated mid water, 15 sharks just circled around one went for the tuna and next thing you know there were sharks attacking the thing and going crazy we were sitting on the bottom watching and taking photos. Used up my scuba tank real quick on that one.

Charted a small single engine cesnar for a day and flew to some remote strips in the McDonnel ranges. Landed on one where the pilot had to give it full throttle as it landed, the strip was up hill at a very steep angle. Taking off was even better, run back down the hill and then the strip runs out and you either fly or drop to the bottom of the valley.

Hunting dear with the locals one night and we had to walk for about 2 hours to get to the area crossed a couple of rivers in dugout canoes stalking the dear in 6 ft high grass. A few months later went fishing up the rivers we had crossed and saw big croks lying on the river bank. If I had known that you would not have cought me in a dugout canoe.

Before going there I raced motocross bikes and then graduated to four wheels and punted a 4.1 litre Capri sports sedan around Symons Plains and BAskerville in Tassie.

Now Im married and have kids that's extreme enough for me.

One I forgot.

Nothing to do with courage, (got none) just pure bad luck.

Was making a work visit with my boss to the Bauxite mine at Gove NT.

It was November and very sticky, about 1984.

The guy I was seeing took us for a tour. He was driving a Hi-Ace van that had a modified exhaust and sounded quite rorty. The gearknob was a moulded something in the shape of the head of a large pen*s. When he drove, he seemed to develop a strange twitch as he fanged the thing up and down the gears. I'll never forget his name.....Hamish Prior.

He offered to take us down to the port via.......The Belt Line....... :w00t2:

The belt line was about 15 km of soft dirt maintence track for the conveyer belt that fed the shiploader at the port.

I was sitting in the middle non-existant seat with no seat belt.

We saw 125kph on the speedo....True....The faster we went, the more he twitched. The more he twitched the faster we went.....and he was always caressing that bloody gearknob.......The Hi-ace bucked and plowed and lurched and slid like a frigen WSC rally car.

I was absolutly terrified and I thought my life was going to come to an end there in Gove. When we got there, I could barely get out of the vehicle and my clothes were saturated with the sweat of fear. Really the most terrifying 10-20 minutes of my life. I actully had to sit down on a chair to stop from shaking.

Probably the reason I'm not the best passenger these days.
