if its like that in sa, we might be in for more rain on the way... sure hope so!

-carty, you remember that nasty hailstorm back in late Novemeber last year. I was down there for my grandfather's 90th birthday party and luckily saw it coming. Hid my baby and then went for a drive afterwards to see the carnage. One of the high school teacher's cars had a large tree branch smash into the roof and wrote it off! :kissmy:

I do believe it was early december? and it wasnt a hailstorm to my memory... it was like a huge heavy down pour and large winds, = no visibility, cause at lunchtime it started, and I had to run 50m to get to my car, and when I got home I took a shower cause I was drenched...

there was soo many trees gone down in that storm... I drove home for lunch at about 15km/h cause visibility was like 10-20m in front of your bonnet...

my old girl was in the XR and I was worried for her cause she was scared stiff of driving that car as it was, let alone in a big storm like that one...

this was the time when I was at South West Ford working for 4 months, and it was right at the beginning of that... and I remember the teachers car that was writen off, it was a subaru brumby, Price-Jones' one (art teacher) and another car, a kia was damaged and needed panel work too (also teacher)...

I was thankful for the fact no one was hurt during this storm, cause it came in soo quick...

Nah, this was on Fri Nov 21st (had to look it up). Had just finished doing a drive-by tour of my old Temora haunts with my grandfather in the "navigator seat".... :smilielol:

My sister and I saw the storm could turn a little greenish just as we were finishing lunch, so I bolted outside to put my car under the carport at my grandparent's place. Lasted about 20 mins - golf balls-sized hailstones, winds over 140km/h, trees snapping like twigs. Very nerve-racking experience considering my T was experiencing it's second hailstorm within it's first month! (the first was the day after I picked her up in Kellyville)

Had to drive my cousin out to see her folks after the storm. Phone lines were down and she was panicking a little bit....
