ALBURY-WODONGA JOINT CRUISE (VIC & NSW) 9/10 OCTOBER

PLEASE POST A REPLY IF YOU ARE COMING SO I CAN ADD YOU TO THE WHO'S GOING LIST WHICH IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS LENGTHY MESSAGE

SUNDAY 10 OCTOBER:

Sunday's Cruise> Gather up together 10.30am outside The Siesta Resort for the morning joint cruise> Plenty of time to check out by 10am

Leave 11am SHARP!!

1hr 15mins around trip. Albury- Howlong- Rutherglen- Albury- Hume Weir (photo shoot)

Following Hwy 58 from Albury and travel into Howlong (yes its a suburb!! laugh.gif) and left into Rutherglen-Wahgunyah Road to Rutherglen then follow Hwy B400 back to Albury and then onto The Hume Weir for a Photo Shoot.

We can stop in Rutherglen for lunch

After the photo shoot at the Hume Weir we head off home crybaby.gif

Meeting up on a Saturday at 9.30am in Melbourne at McDonalds on the left hand side on Hume Hwy, which I think is near the corner of Camp Road and Hume Hwy, to leave at 10am.

We then travel for 2 hours and stop for lunch 12pm at McDonalds?

We leave at 1pm and head to Ettamogah Pub which is 12km from Albury for a drink or two- maybe 3 and also for a photo shoot. We should arrive there about 2.30pm (guessing) and leave around 4pm.

NSW people to meet us VIC plp's at the Ettamogah Pub.

http://www.arta.com.au/nswmaps/albury.html - Click on this link for the Albury Maps.

Then we all proceed to Motel and freshin up for dinner, say 6pm? at the excellent club/bistro in the main street of Albury which is an All You Can Eat- Not sure of the name has been a long time since I have been there. Food is of high quality and very reasonably priced, roughly $20 head I think. There are pokies there for all those gamblers.

416-422 Wagga Road Hume Hwy, Lavington. Phone: (02) 6025 4555 Fax: (02) 6040 1664. See MAP 1, K6 from the link above.

Just outside of Albury and should be able to accommadate everyone. Has 2 Licensed restaurants - we could possibly eat here instead of the club.

Gymnasium, Heated indoor pool, Salt water outdoor pool, 3 Spas, Sauna, Mini golf

Tennis court, Squash court, Solarium, Chess set, Games room. Bring your togs!! You guys will probably not need togs as you will probably be drunk and just jump in with all your clothes on!! WOO HOO :smilielol: hahaha Joking :pinch:

Prices Prices you ask: From $115 For Standard room (double bed & 1 single/ queen bed) Maxium 2/3 people.

I have copied and pasted their accomodation choices below.

Our accommodation is spacious, tastefully decorated, and functional. With Standard Rooms, Spa Suites, Deluxe Units and Family Units to choose from you're sure to find accommodation to suit your needs at the Siesta. Select from our modern or Art Deco Honeymoon Suites, both with corner Spa.

I have also voted for 9-10 October, actually a good weekend for me as it will be my husband's birthday on the Sunday.

Hasn't anyone got any ideas for Sunday's cruise?

Who's in? :w00t2:

Yep I reckon this idea is great... lol...... wonder where it came from :msm: some lonely night in a canberra hotel

anyhoo... I'm in... maybe us sydney people would like to take the coast rd down and maybe .. depending on snow... have a drive through the bogongs on the sunday.

lastly the siesta is a great place to stay ( I travel around a bit) and it certainly is the best in Albury....

and it really caters for the Gay male... so Ken should be right at home :mssux0rs:

Glad to see some of you are coming!!

Good to see some positive feedback about the Siesta

Could everyone from NSW that are attending this cruise please when confirming your attendance on the tour, note down you are from NSW. Cheers

And likewise for the Vic people. Cheers

When I know of some firm numbers of people attending I will give the Siesta a call and hopefully negotiate a better price on accomodation.

Could anybody make any suggestions about making this trip more memorable and interactive so we can get to know each other a bit more.

One of my ideas while having dinner: Bring photos of your first car you owned. Photos of your bingles. Photos of your first f#@k!! wtf?? LOL (NOT!!) In your own time will do.

Dont forget you T driver's that own a wife apart from your high blood pressure causing T. For christ sake ask your wives for some ideas, at least they haven't got a T imprinted on their brain!! LOL :msm: Except for me :msm:

SUGGESTIONS:

A talk from Peter Luxon about APS upgrades after dinner on Saturday night

(need feedback about this possiblitly and who knows him and if he could come along on the cruise)

A possible tour through the Borg Warner factory in Albury on Sunday

(need feedback about organising this and who could organise it)

All get pissed and jump in the pool :mssux0rs:

Ten pin bowling in the nude :nono::gooff:

Await for your feedback

Aly
