G'day all from the land of warm beer.

I've been missing around these parts as I've been living in london for 7 weeks. Boy oh boy am I missing the turbs! I have only driven a renault wagon around a couple of times ... absolutely gutless. Car was for sale :spoton: but now I'm thinking of keeping it. Can afford to now I'm in the pounds. I'm not just talking about the heathrote injection either.

It is quite a site looking at all the "bad arses" driving around in their absolute sh*tboxes with the stereo pumping. Its even worse than the p platers back home, at least they will have a minimum 6 cylinders and can turn a tyre. We are lucky to have such a great (and cheap) local performance based car industry as well as roads to use them!

So get out there and use them like they should be before I get teary eyed again.

God I miss our country and its beautiful cars

This stage looking at a minimum of one year (maximum of 2). Got the old fella looking after the wheels, my mates were keen, but I want it to be in one piece when I get back. Will be coming back 4 a holiday in the summer, for some heat and some long long drives that's for sure.

Petrol? Its at about £80.6 a litre! You do the math on converting that back. Was thinking of selling and picking up a series 2 or a typhoon. Actually when is the series 2 due out? hmmm ...

Anyway thought I would say a quick hello.

Chief

Hey Chief, same situation. I am currently in West Yorkshire (off M62) about 20 mins out of Halifax. Tell you what if this is their summer they can have it!!!

Tell you what though I love the amount of motorsport coverage they get over here it shows us Aussie's have our heads in the sand!

Whilst predominately everything is 4cyl, if you have the ££ you can buy decent cars. You can get a Vaxhall Monaro (Yes the aussie one) for £35k ($105k!). Petrol around here is about 80 pence a Litre ($2.40)!!!!

Whilst I miss my T I have had the luxury of borrowing a 2002 Carerra 4, mmm nice and bloody quick!

Anyway chief I would organise to catch up with you, however I am heading back to Aus on tuesday. :spoton:

Have Fun!!!!!!! And do not drink too much larger!

Hey chief,

While your there, you really must try to do the Goodwood Festival of Speed and post a report. :spoton:

It's long been my dream to do this and drool over all the fantastic machinery in the old dart. Dont think I'll ever get there though. :censored:

I'll settle for a report from a forum member. :w00t2:
