A teeny bit of useless history here:

Remember when you put your films in at the chemist and waited a week for your photos?

Well tonight Kodak Australia closed its doors and I shut the machines down for the last time.

35 years of processing films has come to end. :spoton: There will be no more films processed by Kodak Australia NSW.

I was the last night shift teamleader, there will never be another one.

Digital photography has taken my job.

So this is me logging out of my computer for the last time and closing the office door.

Must remember to turn the lights out !

goodbye :spoton:

Antoinette :bye:

That's sad,

I felt the same way after spending 15 years on HMAS Brisbane. The day it was decommissioned I shut the power down for the last time and sent it into darkness, then went home.

She had been around for 35 years as well.

Kodak bought National Photos 3 years ago, and both business were run under the same roof.

March this year Kodak gave it back to the original owner.

They are now known as "Extra film" which is based in New Zealand.

Well there you go, I used to use them many moons ago before that nasty digital camera came along and started taking people's jobs!
