The Turbo would get premium brakes as standard as would the XR8. The utes would get traction control. I would not increase power of Turbo or XR8.MP3 would be available with the premium sound system - I would drop the prestige sound option and have the current prestige system as the standard. The GT-P would be dropped, but the GT would have all the current GT-P features (except the Brembos) so as to be a luxu-performance model, and a GTHO would be introduced as a CUSTOM build car - basically a performance car of higher output (say 320kw) than the GT, onto which the purchaser selects what luxury options he wants to add. Google it and you get the gist of it.They offer all sorts of options at extra cost to extract the maxiumum out of each punter. Take me for example, I refuse to buy any extras coz I think theyre overpriced and I didnt want to incur stamp duty on them at the time of purchase either. Some punters are happy for fork out more for certain things. All car manufacturers do this and they know what theyre doing.Ford have extra cost options, such as $900 premium sound in the XR range, for sound business reasons. Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 10d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 26/07/04 02:09 PM Share Posted 26/07/04 02:09 PM Ford need to "value add" their car range. If we could buy a XR6/8 and then take it to Ford by Design to then tick the boxes and have options like:Turbo kits, Brembo's, Superchargers, range of wheels, traction control, race seats, different ranges of suspension, luxury packs, etc. You could fully option and personalise your car for what you wanted. BE it road racer or luxo cruiser, you can do it. This would give Ford owners the ability to make it a personal choice when buying a car and not having the same old same old run of the mill car that is currently available. I like the sounds of thatbut you do it all BEFORE you buy the car...when you order it you can chose from all that kinda stuff, it would be awsome
Guest Gilto Guests Posted 26/07/04 05:55 PM Share Posted 26/07/04 05:55 PM I would love to see a strong 6-speed manual but I am dreaming I think! Would like a lower grille mesh, to match the top........Better valve springs......Maybe make the Turbo stand out a little more from the XR6???.........Stronger clutch (to match the new 6-speed!!) ........Maybe a small diet????????(not really necessary though)........Bigger wheels and tyres as an option...........Turbo badges on the sides of the vehicle...........Oh and these are mandatory............AWD and 1000HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
