Hi I went to EBay

they had some older Rex systems for sale I picked one up for $200.00 Good value! It's hidden under the front passenger seat (the remote won't work if you hide it in the boot ) I then bought a Pyle flip down TFT 7" monitor $289 off EBay. This is an easy job to mount. Just take out the int light and Pop Rivet the mounting bracket into place.

I didn't go the Aux plug or fm modulator as the screen has speakers and headphone jacks.

Bloody good value for under $500.00 :spoton:

I have an aftermarket 7 or 8" fold down from the ceiling unit that replaces the main cabin light. Comes with IR headphones and a remote. Very nice unit. Made by Baton. It was given to me as a present by my delaer after they scratched my rear bumper during delivery and held up my holiday plans last Xmas. Supposed to be worth $2400. Unit is boot mounted. All up, very well made. Headphones are extra comfy and the remote has more buttons that you'd know what to do with.

I had a problem with it and it had to be replaced. The unit they replaced it with turned out to be faulty out of the box. The car audio place that did the install gave the importer of the unit some stick about it and the importer bent over backwards to sort it out. Ended up giving me an extra 12 months wty on it and 2 more sets of headphones. Gotta be happy with that.

If you have kids and do a bit of travelling, a DVD is a must.

Jeff, hey mate. I'll show you my system when we catch up soon. I dont know much about In Car Entertainment, so I cant tell you what exactly is done. But mine's quite nice.

I have a DVD/MP3 Player mounted in the tissue section under the command centre. I've got a roof mounted screen secured just behind the sunroof that folds down. DVD's can be viewed from the command centre or the roof screen. Also, I have cordless headsets, and switching gear. This allows backseat passengers to play X-Box fullblast....while the front passenger can watch a DVD from the command centre with full sound simultaneously.

I'll show ya when we catch up. :crybaby:
