Actually, GEEA started an independent thread,

Poll: Bigger intercoolers

and then you started this thread in the APS forum on 4 hours later.

You then took my comments from Geea’s thread and made references here, which got me started, which killed independent debate in Geea’s thread.

This thread is in your own Sponsors Forum I.e APS

Recent protocol on this forum has been for opposing camps to stay out of sponsors forums, which is why Cuspub doesn’t want to get involved here, and part of the reason why we started the Sponsors forum in the first place. That is, an area where you focus on your products solely. If you make comments, references or comparisons regarding other companies products within your APS forum, be prepared for debate that may degrade very quickly. Many of us members don’t want that to happen.

Certainly, my comment regarding core thickness as expected did invoke and a lengthy response regarding your design principles, and we do appreciate your comments.

It certainly is a 2-way street, in this case one that I did not want to enter.

Just for the record, I do own an APS (WRX) intercooler.

Thanks,

Brian

Contrary to what you are trying to imply, the larger APS intercooler in these applications aids engine durability by maintaining lower charge air temperatures, thus reducing the thermal load and likelihood of engine detonation. In addition, being of a high void/open fin bar and plate construction, the airflow to the radiator is as high as possible and by far the best combination.

With respect George,

APS has their design philosophy and goals and Nizpro and others have theirs. This is the APS thread section and your information is most welcome. APS has their engineering opinion on "Optimum" and "by far the best" which may potentially differ from other tuners or suppliers opinions.

I still strongly suggest that everyone purchasing a kit of this type should contact the supplier directly as well as read all of the information available. Nizpro and PWR are not site sponsers of this forum at this time and may not post all of the information that they have on here.

Thanks

Lachlan

Hi Brian,

Since that thread was a poll and encouraged people's comment on the level of satisfaction, a lengthy technical discussion on that thread was deemed inappropriate - hence a new thread which was the prudent action. I certainly didn’t want to break any rules by hijacking that thread.

I, and I'm sure most members find it a lot easier to read threads and learn more about what you guys are doing with your XR6T's when I don't have to weed through "he said/she said" for snippets of info.

Now that we have all that baggage off our collective chests, let's get back to intercoolers and make this an informative and non-confrontational time for all. I'm sure we would all welcome this.

Ok seeing as my last intercooler thread got killed off due to this thread starting and seeing how I'd still like to know more about intercoolers than just APS's advertising spiel, could I get some comments on the following link. I think I found it on here somewhere (not sure where), and if people would like to share their thoughts that would be great.

LINK

This isn't thread hijacking or bagging anyone I'm just after information from various sources. If people aren't happy postiong here cause its in the APS section post in my original thread, HERE.

I have posted a response on your original thread.

Greg Brindley.

Hang on for a second here.... Let me get this straight. :spoton:

You're a PR guy for a company that won't support this site posting in and hijacking a thread in the APS sponsor's forum?

A bit rich don't you think?

George while alot of your posts are informative some are plain childish. I have no affiliation with Nizpro so am not on their side.

How can what Greg said be hijacking. He was mearly informing people that he was replying in the appropriate place. Would you rather he respond in the APS section. He has already stated that he wouldn't do that as he felt it wasn't the correct thing to do. He was responding to my request for more information in my thread which you neatly diverted with this thread.

As for Nizpro not sponsoring I don't believe that you know all the facts and that until you do you probably shouldn't be bringing that up.

Maybe you might like to stop critisizing other tuners and every oportunity it does you no favors.

Geea, it's a simple matter of Greg Brindley (cuspub) who is a representative of Nizpro, is in breach of the forum rules. If he is to be involved as a paid representative of Nizpro - for financial gain - he has to have a contract in place with the site owners.

It's not only a breach, but unprofessional when there are site sponsors like APS and Chiptorque in place paying for this site.

Let's play by the rules please.
