Once having a `78 XC GS Monza Red coupe myself, I can't wait to see the pics and hear more about it.Well done Mate I'm a little envious. Although I'd find it hard to sacrifice the comfort and handling of the BA series to go back to the old XC but the XC has a character all of it's own. I love the XA-XC. At least you have both a BA and XC. Hope it turns out to be one hell of a monster.Haha, here is an old pic of me lovely.Hahaha, was I that thin and hairy?...lol. Sounds like an awesome ride coming your way Hi Scotty,1) The intended purpose of the car is to be very reliable, and smooth to drive on the street. And maybe spit out some "nice" numbers on dyno days! But number 1 goal is street driven. Just like BCL's car. 2) The block is just standard 351, mortar filled to the welsh plugs, and the bores have been sleeved. I have had it sonic tested, but dont have access to the results. My engine builder has the results.3) As far as I am aware, its a standard crank that has been stroked a little. Blown motors usually arent that hard on bottom ends, so we felt a 4MAB was a tad overkill.4) Fuel will be Optimax on the street, and C16 on dyno days, Summernats etc.... Whenever I intend to give it large, ill use C16.I have infact picked up the motor ( ), its currently sitting in the back of a work van, heavily guarded mind you! Will be posting pics later tonight! Mick can probably explain better.
