On the way down to the shop today I was following a Winter White N/A today and it had very Dark Smoked Tail Lights. Have anybody heard of these at all? Actually it looked quite nice, would look tops on Sihlouette

Sorry I have no photo's as I couldn't find my camera in time.

I am not sure that there is an off the shelf tinted tail light Lumpy.

I know of a tint spray the autobarn here in mexico sell for around 20 bucks that you spray on yourself. The told me it is pretty hard to get right but when you do it works a treat.

Said he had done about 30 pairs of tail lights in his time and mucked some of them up beyond help.

I cant imagine that this would be a manufactured effort I must admit xrdreaming, though I've never seen 'Tail Light Tint Spray' for sale before  This was very effective but.

Also I should mention that this was a sedan, and not the ute, where there does seem to be a few alternate taillight options.

TAM, if your out there somewhere, drop us some photos

I'm about to get a RICE flame me's thinks but I think it would look awesome, been tempted to do it. Just wondering about any legal issues. The sprused up N/A with the "NA Thunder" exhaust attracts too much attention as it is.

Yeah...I'm not too sure about a spray can jobbie but surely a more professional tint would look cool.

Night shades isn't too bad when used on coloured surfaces such as tail lights. Just don't try to spray clear items like headlights or headlight protectors.

It's near on impossible to get an even coat and when you get it wrong it's looks bloody terrible.

Another cheap way of tinting your tail lights is to stretch over Women's sheer stockings. I know it sounds strange but a mate of mine did it to his car and it doesn't look too bad. It also has the advantage of being removed instantly when the Police want to defect your car.

Wearing nylons isn't my cup of tea but each to their own I guess!

Just don't let the boys in blue catch ya with this stuff on your tail lights cuz they'll be giving you an invitation to a party that ain't much fun.
