There's a shop in Melbourne who sell a kit to fit a TH700 (turbo700) box.Can anyone see a problem with this, or does anyone have any comments on doing this? I've also found that you can fit a G60 Nissan gearbox. Not to sure what it's out of. Maybe someone could tell me?? The only thing is that a Nissan g60 seems to come from is a 70 patrol though so not sure how stronge they are.As for the turbo 700, there are alot of tuff VL turbos running them, I guess it depends on what components they are built with. I sent an email to castlemaine rod shop and they recommended this transmission to me. They gave me a contact in Melbourne and said that I wouldn't have a problem with one of these boxes once they were built correctly.I got the same info about the G60 from their web site.I also found out that the Persuit 250 ute with 500Nm torque had an imported T5 used out of a mustang. Anyone heard of any problems with this box in the Persuit?? Hi Dean,I could be totally wrong here, but I thought that a lot of the really quick VL turbo commodores were using beefed up Trimatics? Also remember the VL weighs heaps less than a T.Mick Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/11819-turbo-700-transmission/#findComment-143330 Share on other sites
