Thanks Craig. I was pretty sure that was the case. My previous car had the standard aerial and the reception was great no matter where I drove. I dont suppose there are any remedies available ( apart from listening to CD's all the time !!)

Have you got tints? - if so did they put the "matellic" stuff on the rear? This is suppose to effect AM reception only -- :pooh::pooh: Solarace had to redo my tint because the FM reception died after the tint was put on!

I get good reception with my Premo Sound, gets a bit fuzzy around Lake George for a while but then can listen to Canberra FM radio stations to Marulan, maybe a bit futher. AM is even better reception. No tint for me.

I have heard of quite a few other people saying they have problems though.

I don't listen to the radio much, but when I do I don't find any real problems with it around Canberra, just the usual spots here or there. But I do notice a "fluttery static" now and then but I'm not really sure if it's where I am or the antenna in the rear window.
