Just received my bluetooth phone kit today and after a few grazed knuckles I give up! Do the utes actually have the phone connectors installed, and if so where are they?

The only thing I haven't un-screwed is the fuse block, is this a requirement to actually get to the little buggers (I could only feel one loose plug behind it though and I think it was white)

Any help would be greatly appreciated - otherwise off to a professional for me!

Thanks,

Trent.

Thanks mate - I may just have to take you up on your offer.

The problem is there is no blue connector to be seen. The dealer had electric aux trailer brakes fitted as mine was a demonstrator, so I'm assuming they have hacked into the phone connector for a 12v supply.

Anyway, back to the drawing board!!!

I had to remove my fuse box to get at the plug.

it is behind the FB down the bottom, you should be able to see if you contort and look behind the FB.

No worries, I bought a kit of him today actually and he brought it down to work.

Good bloke, hes always been great to us with our cars, never had a problem with any of his work.

His mobile is 0418 787 832.

And as I say both Q Ford and BBF both use him, and he drive a BA Falcon himself so he is good!

If you look directly above the accelerator pedal the connector should be taped to the existing wiring behind the fuse box. There should be 2 connectors. The blue connector is your 2 powers,1 earth and a mute wire. The clear connector is for connecting the phone speaker wires so it runs through the audio system. If they've used the power wires for a trailer brake system they would only use the yellow/black for the constant 12v.You can still use the same wire all you have to do is find the others.

Colour codes are: Yellow/Black=12v constant, Black/Yellow=12v switched(Accessory), Black= earth, Turquoise(Greeny colour)= Phone mute.

It's all good now, just had to unbolt the fuse block so that I could get my useless head in behind it. Would have been easier to get a pro to do it in hindsight, but would not have been half as fun.

Thanks everyone for your input. Now I just have to get the voice recognition working properly!
