Question for everyone who would like to respond.

Has anyone done a water injection kit into intake manifold to increase O'2 level and lower air temp before ignition?

Should be able to run higher boost level before denation occurrs provided temp is higher enough in manifold for water to fog.

I for one will never use water injection into engine. Water is good for 2 things, drinking and washing your car! Water injection in my view is a band-aid solution to a problem.

I am not denying water injection works, ive seen it work on the dyno, and for what it does it is impressive. But a properly designed, well thought out intercooling system will always do the job much more better and more efficiently than water injection will do.

I understand what your saying and also agree to a certain point. I don't see it as a band aid solution but an enhancement to the efficency of intercooling and engine protection. :ermm:

Other wise why are people talking about or making external watersprays.

Anything that you can do to reduce air charge temp must be good for your engine.

The added bonus is the ability to elimate pre-ignition before it happens. Is'nt this the reason why tuners spend so much time on the dyno getting the Air/fuel ratio sas lean as they can to maximise fuel combustion. It would allow you to tune your air/fuel ratios to be more aggresive = (higher boost = more power) so that your not using the extra fuel as a cooling agent which is basically why they run the cars so rich to protect the engine.

You can preset it to come on at a certain boost to eliminate pre-ignition during full throttle applications.
