Im curious... everyone says they saw the T56 in the APS car... so for everyone to able to say this means that the car was on a hoist for everyone to see the T56  underneath?

No, a digital camera is sufficient.

Here's a picture of the T56 gearbox, clearly seen above the APS cat & exhaust.

The picture was taken at the Brisbane show.

I'm with jteale - I have questioned many of Peter's statements on this forum in the past and have had very evasive off the point responses. I am very impressed with the work APS have done and their results speak for themselves, BUT I have great difficulty differentiating between the sales-speak of this person and what is fact. This thread has now brought me to the point where I don't think I could bring myself to be confident in dealings with them.

From what I can see Peter has not said that the car didnt have a T56 at the show hes said it HAS a T5. Read what hes said.

Me thinks theres some playing with words here. Its should be made clear if it had one in for the show and if it has been removed.

It's simple.

There was a Mal Wood T56 used at Brisbane for the high horsepower run. That is not denied.

It has been removed, with a T5 back in.

If Peter doesn't want to add anything more that's his right.

:spoton: You got me wrong. Some of the post just after your pic seamed to implying that Peter was saying the car never had a T56 in it. I was pointing out what you just said. All be it may be not clear enough.

The public know there was one in it. To me he does him self no service at all by being so evasive. Why not just say yep guys we put one in for the show and now we have taken it out. Simple clear. I come here for information and would expect that someone in Peters position would be clear about somthing that is in the public domain.

Quick clear facts take all the bull :pooh: out.

Just my opinion

Cheers

Tony

Ok, having monitered this thread since its inception, very interesting developments.

Couple of questions:

1. What stage upgrade was this car that allegdly had the T56 in it? (I have assumed a Stage II or above)

2. What has been the APS stance on the T5 gearbox in that stage upgrade (ie APS advises should upgrade/should suffice)?

In my experance with the auto, and my opinion with the manual. If your going to drive hard most of the time want to do a few burnouts, neither trans will hold up for long with even Phase II.

With about 5 decent burnouts 1 big static one 2 runs down the drag strip and 10 000 kms at Phase II every bearing bush cluch and band in my box was stuffed.

A little bit off the question. Sorry

Tony
