I don't think these units are able to playback MP3s; the compressed audio feature is simply for more efficient playback. Most guys like myself that have the premium audio utilise something like an ipod through the AUX port to play mp3's. I fitted the the AUX cable from Ford into my BA but when I checked out the accessory listing for the IPOD there was no AUX cable. They had some wireless FM attachment, so I put the IPOD on the backburner. I assumed from your post you did fit it through the AUX. What was the part # that you used from the IPOD to the AUX input?
