Well after being told lots of bull sh*t by dealers, Ford and FPV...........I think I found out why my car was not delivered on the Wed 5th March.

After being told that the car has been taken back to the FORD Factory (production line) for further testing I called my friend who watch the car getting put together on the production line and who got me the fully painted engine bay.

He has started make some enquiries and hasn't found any reasons why its been returned which seems very strange to me.

He wasn't working today because he was at the grad prix in melbourne and bugger me dead, what do you think was on display at the grand prix was a ute identical to the one I have ordered. Even posibly the same SIDO.

So What do you think I should do about the lies and further delays, not to mention the being posibly handled by others.

Mate, that's unbelieveable.

l really dont know what l would do. Definetely have to get some photos however as proof. These would be very handy once you had decided on how to go about seeking revenge.

It must have been that fully painted engine bay that did it  Even Ford couldnt keep their hands of your car.

You live in Geelong why can't you take an hour off work and go to the factory armed with your sido number and see for yourself. Maybe they would say no one can enter the premises for security reasons? If they can't show you the car I think it must be the one at the show and that would really piss me off.

I'd be calling the Free to air TV channels if you find out this is true. Let the bad media exposure pressure them into giving you, ahh what do you want? Upgrade to a pursuit perhaps? :D

I would be working at a price for the rental of your car, I believe herts charges about $90 a day for a standard falcon, so id say around $130 a day sounds fair, send them a invoice for the rental of your car.

Hit FORD hard on the arse for us mate. That is outrageous!!!! That reminds me of the time when I found an unidentified ETAG in my XR6 and that the odo went up by over 1000km just for a regular service. I kept the ETAG and went around the service centre and guess what? I found the car that it belongs to and the owner is one of the mechanics.....bastards!!!! Is this the way they treat our cars? Which is why these days I ask for a specific completion time and I pop in unexpectingly just to check. Mind you, mine's just an XR6. Can't imagine what happens to those that own the GTs, GT-Ps, Pursuits, T3s....

Although it certainly is bad, unless you have paid in full you'd probably find in your contract something about all goods remaining property of Ford until paid for. Regardless though, it's still not good cricket.

And JESMAL, that sucks muchly...hope the mechanic no longer works for that dealership.

Ford policy specifies that they can't sell a car if it's received by the owner with more than 90kms on the clock.

Have you confirmed that this is actually your vehicle, or has it just got the same options? If you get the chasis number, or engine number, you can cross reference them to your SIDO number.

If the UTE has more than 90kms on it, I simply wouldn't except it, as it breaks Ford policy.

Good luck!

Kiwi.
