I think as a consumer whether it be buying a Ford or Holden the treatment we receive in after sales service is shocking...they simply don't want to deal with you if the problem gets too big or too hard. This is bullsh*t service and we should not have to tolerate it!!!. I know personally I have been complaining about the brake squeal in my premiums since day one of purchase. It has taken FORD 12 months to fix this problem(finally this week the pads will be replaced - fingers crossed)....that is phucking piss poor if you ask me expect a consumer to spend $60k on a product and then not deliver on the product....very ord and both these manufacturers should go back to the drawing board when it comes to satisfying customers!!!!!!

Hmm, quite disturbing accounts of after-sales support and service. Having yesterday received my 3rd automatic transmission on warranty after 40 days and 6000km of driving my T, I now know a little more about the after-sales service process. :w00t2:

My general advice (feel free to PM me for more details) includes:

1. Know your warranty rights. Ford has to actually prove that you were at fault in breaching the warranty conditions before they can reject your warranty claim. Insist from Ford that they put in WRITING the evidence they have collectced which proves you were at fault.

2. Do not always believe dealer advice. Quite often dealers will pass on information about rejecting the warranty claim because they figure many people might get upset but eventually believe they have no option but to accept what they are told. This is NOT the case, you have many options once a warranty claim is rejected.

3. The old saying of "you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar" suggests that if you are as dispassionately objective as possible, while praising any progress they may have made already, you may get more co-operation. At least to begin with, be objective, friendly and ASSERTIVE.

If this does not work, take one step at a time towards your goal of getting the results you want. PM me for specifics.

Safe and happy driving...Dr Z. :w00t2:
