l admire you for the way you have handled this issue with Ford Cameron, you have been patient and more than reasonable throughout. Ford have acted like a bunch of dumb fcuks from the start, its great to see you have the balls to take them on. l am sure you will win.

l am afraid my respect for Ford as a manufacturer is dwindling daily at present, sh!t like this just confirms it :w00t2:

IM NOT TOO SURE OF YOUR PLIGHT...HOWEVER I HAVE GATHERED ENOUGH TO SEE YOUVE GOT PROBS WITH THE CAR. When we buy something we enter into a legally binding contract. If Ford have not given you what you paid for they are in breach of their duty of care to provide you with goods that were either not safe or fit for their intended purpose.DO get legal advice and dont take my statement as law. However I do believe that I am somewhat correct. At the end of the day it is very hard to fight big companies and that's where the media comes into it. GO HARD AND GOOD LUCK

Familia,

I'm just about where you are myself. I had my gearbox replaced 2+ weeks ago and received a replacement box with different problems.

I took the car back to Ford today for the mechanic to test drive the vehicle. He found that the box had some issues and would call me once he had made some calls.

The call I received absolutely floored me.

According to the gearbox manufacturer, the 5th gear crunch (which the car has had from basically new) was due to driver abuse and therefore have voided my drivetrain warranty!!!! :spoton:

So, an unmodded car that's never been to a drag strip and mostly driven on cruise control down a motorway can have it's driveline warranty revoked? I don't think so. :k24t:

All I need to know now is who to sue.

51XRT,

How can they claim that it is driver abuse??? have they sat in the car with you for hours on end to come to this conclusion.... or have they been with you in the car for a few minutes only??... If the latter is correct, how can they draw a conclusion from this????

It is easy to draw cheap ass conclusions to avoid fixing warranty items!!!

FORD, get your act together, fix the problems and let us all drive the cars that we paid for.... and not some second rate product that you try to flog off as been normal or otherwise as driver abused

how many k's have you racked up since getting the new box?? good luck....

Can someone really say that Expensive Daewoo are this bad, yes they had their GEN III issues, but overall people dont complain as much as us Ford owners.

Give me a break...how many stock BA motors have had to go for a rebuild....I can think of one on this site...

my mates SS has had 3 rebuilds alone let alone all the other poor sods out there who have had countless rebuilds or replacements...
