I'm not critisizing this product at all. I don't know anything about it, it sounds good though.Regarding the warrenty. If you put a piggy back cpu on the "T" and have a car that can run mid 12's certain parts of the car won't be covered. that's a fact. The trans/gearbox, diff and most of the engine internals will have lost their warrenty. That goes with all the chips not just this one.Geea. Guest vosadrian Guests Posted 14/07/04 04:14 AM Share Posted 14/07/04 04:14 AM Thanks for the interest guys.PAC is a Haltech dealer who we have been working with on this product. Haltech itself make no claims about the warranty issues, so you would have to contact PAC about that. I doubt you could do any mod to any car that improves performance and maintain full warranty. It may be that some outfits are willing to take over the warranty. The Haltech interceptor is as the name suggests, a piggyback interceptor. It works similarly to the XEDE and Unichip. It will have some different features though, but the proof of how well it works will come when there are more cars running it around after the official release in August. We have benchmarked out pricing to be very competitive, but this is not finalised yet.Haltech owns and XR6T Ute, and a XR8 sedan which both run this product. In addition to this, the PAC car is running this product, and the GTP car of John Houlder (XR8). That XR8 that was seen would have been ours.I have driven all of these cars extensively (except the GTP car!!), and they run very well. However I do not own an XR6T myself, but they have certainly changed my way of thinking on Fords, and I would be happily park one in my garage!!-- Adrian
