Out of interest..... Did you know that a popular drug used on post operative heart patients is wharferine (not sure of spelling) which is main constituent in Ratsak! The ensuing fine should dissuade the owner from leaving the cat out.Whatever you do dont spray it or throw anything at it while its on the car or it will scratch the out of the car getting off. Ive had the same problem before so what I did was close my front gate and leave the ridgeback our in the yard for the night  little wont come back then. Guest Scootre Guests Posted 05/07/04 09:27 AM Share Posted 05/07/04 09:27 AM Try and get friendly with the cat!!!Once its in your arms, patting it gently, put a cotton bud soaked in methylated spirits straight on its ring!!!! Classic!!! :lolPetrol would probably work even better... having once sat in a puddle of Mobil's finest, I can tell you that it's good for serious ring damage. As for the cat... I'm sure I've told this story before...I once had finished cleaning my car only to come back outside a half hour later to find the neighbour's cat asleep on the bonnet... again.So... I walked up, grabbed the cat by the legs - two in each hand, and proceded to clean the car with the cat. And I can tell you that the bonnet was buffed to a mirror finish before I'd tossed that hairy rat over the fence.Needless to say... the cat never returned. We think it was a tortise shell cat but its hard to tell when they are inside out. Our playground back then was the sand dunes, natural scrubland and swamp which eventually became the prestigious West Lakes.Grandad had a market garden on the perimeter of the Grange Golf Club, and grew vegies and had chooks. Had a couple of cats too, to keep the rats out of the hen house. Only problem was the neighbour's tomcat would come a callin' on grandad's pussys, and have his way with them.... the dirty ginger coloured rapist!Never new animal sex to be so violent. Anyway, grandad always said, if you see that ginger coloured mongrel, he's fair game.Had an opportunity one weekend. Saw the mongrel strutting over looking for our cats. I pulled out the model 86 slug gun, but was pissed off when I realised I had run out of pellets. Damn!Suddenly had some inspiration. Went into the shed and got a handful of wheat from the chookfeed bag. Just the right size to slip into the barrel. And this wheat was rock hard, and very sharp and pointy on each end.hmmm set myself up by the window in the shed, and Ginger was still walking around the yard, preening himself and showing off, with his long tail pointed up to the sky. I took aim..... He was only about 5 or 6 metres away. Then he turned away from me, giving me a perfect sight right onto his date.steady....It was just like the bullseye of a dart board....I got him fair square smack up his ring. His ar$ehole sort of collapsed inwards as his back legs contorted over the top of his head.I still piss myself when I recall the image of that cat howling across the paddock back to his house. For about 5 strides, his back legs were running in front of his front legs.Never seen anything so funny....Gave him something to think about.... Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/11668-cats-scratching-my-car/page/3/#findComment-140869 Share on other sites
