I ve got them. It happened to me. Stick 45 - 48 psi in them stoped it on mine, ride is a bit harder but feels a lot better on the road. They perform much better in the wet too. Placard in the door has good pressures for ride but no wear and at $500 each Ill loose a bit of ride quality.

Cheers

To stop feathering on my front tyres I up'd the pressure to 42psi but left the rears at around 39psi other wise I found it a bit harder to get traction off the lights with 42 in the rear. With 18's I find I have to rotate them front to rear about every 7000klms.

42 is fine if you dont drive hard. But under hard driving its not enough. I found no extra traction probs with 42 in the rear. I have the ute. Driving style will impact greatly.

My front 18's looked like they were feathering, although I was running 38 front and 36 rear.

I had them rotated (fronts to backs etc) last week at 12000kms and asked the dealer to comment on the feathering. He said that the wear was very even across all of the tyres and to keep the tyre pressures at where they were. He reckons I should be able to expect about 30k from the tyres if I rotate them one more time at about 24000.

With that, I figured the 'feathering' might simply be a bit of wear further out the side of the tread compared to the backs - I dunno, due to a bit of understeer (?!?). Hell... as far as car mechanicals go, I make a great chef...

Nevertheless, I'm (still) going to get a depth guage to keep an eye on them... if I ever remember to pick one up next time I'm at autobahn.
