aps Member 1,505 Member For: 22y 5d Posted 02/07/04 09:19 AM Share Posted 02/07/04 09:19 AM Hey Peter,is it posible to get an update on how many K's the CnV car & your own have done with these power levels?ScottyScotty I can't tell you exactly how many kms the Cand V car has travelled, though I am sure Con would give you the info without any problem.........the CandV car is an every day car so I guess it would have a fair number of kms on the car.The APS phase III car has covered approx 15,000kms ...........some not so easy...........some at 307 kph. PeterAPS
aps Member 1,505 Member For: 22y 5d Posted 02/07/04 09:38 AM Share Posted 02/07/04 09:38 AM As to durability testing, I wonder if any other aftermarket supplier (specifically relating to the XR6 Turbo) has had several XR6 Turbo engines on their own in-house dyno for days and weeks on end performing genuine endurance testing: dynamometer.Greg Brindley.Greg, I agree that lots of chassis and engine dyno testing is all good and well though ultimately nothing beats actual in car/infield testing where the engine is utilising the stock Ford radiator and A/C system and the engine is subject to all normal Australian environmental conditions. An engine and chassis dyno is a great development tool for measuring power and torque and testing different combinations of engine components and accessories, though in reality it all comes down to how the engine/car performs on the road and track. Understanding this engine is blueprinted, to get rid of oem tolrence problems, what level of power do you expect to get out of it. or is that the limit, even under controlled inviroment. (sorry if im butting in ).
