Hey Trumpy,

Thanks for pointing out Peters reply to CNC's question ... I don't wish for Peter to reply but rather ASK OTHER PEOPLES opinions of the APS 420 RWKW feat with a stock standard engine running on 98 RON Fuel.

Cheers :spoton:

Getting more power does NOT necessarily mean you need more boost (as per turbo boost increases to 22psi etc)

I don't think anyone has done it yet, but the use of N2O in conjunction with other mods such as Nizpro or APS kits would easily develop in excess of 420kW.

Whether the motor / driveline would stay together too long, would depend a hell of a lot on the way its driven. There is no need to take the rpm above 5500 to develop that sort of power. The other point I'd make, is that it would be relatively easier to survive a 420+ rwkW run on a dyno than it would be to do a full throttle open run on the road or strip. The ability to bring the load on smoothly in one gear on a dyno makes a huge difference in the peak stress loads which occur in the motor and the driveline.

But as no-one has done it yet, IM2QIK, your question really seems like it can have no definitive answer.

Lets NOT get started into a situation like yesterday though. The mods have had enough to deal with in a 24 hour period!

If you are that interested, call APS and discuss it with one of their people. Then report back here. Saves a lot of meaningless internet tripe.

I've heard of a XR8 running 420rwkw with stock internals.....do they have stronger pistons, rods than the turbo motor???

Probably a lot less cylinder pressure being N/A

Scotty ... 420rwkw N/A .... don't think so mate ....

a few blown XR8 floating around now with that sort of power ...... their internals are obviously different to the Ts but in the same ball park strength wise one would think

Be interesting to know everyones thoughts ....

Exactly what are you setting out to achieve? Suggest you take Trumpy's advice and ask APS and report back.

On an aside we're still waiting for those dyno graphs you promised for the vct recalibration.............And how many extra rwkw's were released?

I would also love the graphs on the vct , would be great to see... :spoton:
