HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 2m 30d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 11/03/03 05:51 AM Share Posted 11/03/03 05:51 AM does anyone know if the turbo badge adds to performance? If I had a XT V8 or even just a xt I wouldnt put any wings of bodykits on it. I think the best way to dress up a standard car is to lower it and put some nice wheels on it. personally I dont like rear wings. im even thinking of taking mine off.I think the BA/XR6NA/XR6T/XR8 needs a rear wing. The XR wing is a nice balance, not too flairy, not too whimpy, take it off and dude.........it's not going to balance out the car. Nice sleek sporty front, the subtle but just enough side flare kit, standard rear....hmmm It will look a little out of place. As this thread is stating, "Each to their own".I'd love a XR6Turbo or an XR8, just simply cannot afford one, we could add a few options to the XR6NA though and remain within budget so we did......Bye bye AU III VCT, hello BA XR6, I'd rather go for an XR6 instead of a Futura or XT even though it's the same car with a better looking interior, body kit and different gear ratio. I was going to see what it looked like without it first. I want to do some performance mods then posibly debadge it and remove the wing. but there was still that question in my head asking" will it look weird without the wing? answer is- probably but its only 4 nuts to take it off so its worth having a look, when I do ill take some pics to see what you all reckon. Guest TheGore Guests Posted 20/03/03 10:42 AM Share Posted 20/03/03 10:42 AM I dunno call me picky, but I seriously dont know why someone would purchase an XT put a XR Wing on it, 17" XR mags and drive around. I had this guy try to race me the other day when coming into work. I slowed down so I could see what it was and guess what.. an XT.. Im really confused as to why someone would want to make their car look like something its not. I can understand in some circumstances such as major engine mods that you would need an XR8 bonnet etc.But to make your car out to be something its not is a little strange to me. Yes I know I had a mirage once and made it out to be something its not.. but I guess ive matured.. that's why I bought an XR6T. Dont laugh :D Oh I guess you would like to see what the mirage looked like..http://members.optushome.com.au/ybshymirag.../ybshyfront.JPGAnd yes it did win trophy's and stuff at car shows :D how much did ya sell ya for? Guest UNR8D Guests Posted 25/03/03 01:52 AM Share Posted 25/03/03 01:52 AM my honnest oppinion a falcon with all bottom skirts no wing large 18'19' wheels and a lowered suspention package to match is the most desireable option.if people want to make their XT/Futura/Fairmont/Fairmont Ghia stand out from the rest I say go for it:) but there is NO way id put on standard XR mags in my oppinon they are SHI*T HOUSE design and dont complemt the car but that's just my oppinion the optional wheels are worth the extra dosh or aftermarket ones if u dont like the design.UNR8D

LIke the person the put the turbo badge on the XT ( Tosser ) he is most likley very happy. I hope they were not the ones that a fellow member had stolen not so long ago. But do it how you like, not everyone likes blue so they get a red car same thing I think, imagine walking into a car park and having 100 phantom XR6T's parked there all looking the same, very drull!! celerbrate the differances, hell laugh at some of them. The only thing I'd hate to see is what the Late model camira had probs with. GO to your local spolier shop and come out with an HSV, and no body can tell until the lights when the Barina next to him pulls away. Anyways its no fun dragging away from the lights againts the same car. Can't wait to sit next to a modified XT V8 and have a race up to the speed limit, and admire the mags, spolier choice, bodykit. Now ford has an awesome platform, lets do any and everything to it!!!! :D :D :D
