Guest JESMAL Guests Posted 08/03/03 12:26 AM Share Posted 08/03/03 12:26 AM Once again, same as what I'd say in most topics involving bodykits, "TO EACH HIS OWN". I've seen an BA XT with XR rear wing and 17" ROH Adrenaline rims in shadow chrome and to me...its FUGLY!!!!!!!! But I guess the owner loves it that way I've also seen BA XR6Ts and XR8s trying to make themselves stand out from the crowd by having wanky looking rims, but again, if the owner likes it, who gives a sh*t right? I can't criticize car owners who put on bodykits and do exterior mods, coz I'm one myself. I drive an AU XR6, turbocharged and all, and I've got the T3 sideskirts, rear wing and bumper bar. I love my car so much that I wake up everyday looking forward to the drive to work (even when I hate my work). Like myself, I'm not a stereo person so I don't understand why anyone would spend heaps of cash on incar stereo (but maybe if that person drives 2 hrs just to get to work that is)...and the story goes on and on... So the moral of the story from my perspective is "it's only a car, it has its own life span so enjoy it to the fullest while you can..."...and the 'enjoy' word can mean different to different people  Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1160-why-oh-why/page/2/#findComment-12596 Share on other sites

I spent a lot of time getting young blokes out of the %^&* after Credit card companies had a chop at them over crdit card bills for crap added to cars. Its a shame really. IMO they could be doing much worse things with their time (crime, drugs, etc, etc.).Plus, it gives us something to laugh at! Chris, you do realise that if you get the 220kw V8 you get 17" rims with that? You can get them with any Falcon as far as I'm aware. Not sure about the 18s though.Plus, as far as I know, the only rear wing you can get on a BA is the XR one. The case was pretty much the same with AU1s. Guest hoich Guests Posted 11/03/03 01:45 AM Share Posted 11/03/03 01:45 AM Mr Plow:There are two spoilers for the BA the XR spoiler and the RPO spoiler which is smaller and doesn't sit as high as the XR one. I know this for a fact as my company makes the spoilers. This may look simiar to the XR's. I love the XR's of course, however I also like the XT, lowered with 17" and a 220 V8. Wouldn't go the spoilers myself, any of them. I'd rather up the wheel size, colour code and modify the exhaust. Money better spent than body kits for this car IMO:thumbsup: Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1160-why-oh-why/page/2/#findComment-12826 Share on other sites

I think the best way to dress up a standard car is to lower it and put some nice wheels on it. personally I dont like rear wings. im even thinking of taking mine off. Yes the badge will increase the power to 240kw.A little more expensive but maybe worth it is 2 side and 1 rear XR8 badges and that will give you 260kw.
