I would URGE you to look at this as my car went from STOCK 202.5 kw up to 213.6 kw.........these figures are at the treads and its a fair increase.

PS the remus system if I recall correct was approx 1800 from cat back

Good news and the reason why I upgraded my system to a 3.5 inch cat with twin 2.5's and no center muffler.

Definately a good power increase :w00t2:

Mrs z has a Herrod cat-back mild steel system on her "sports pak" XT.  It's louder than I expected....MUCH louder than my standard T.  At idle it's deep and rumbly and sounds a bit like a V8, which is what she really wants.  Sounds better at idle and low speed than at high revs/cruise etc, but pretty good overall.

She LOVES it!  As the NA and the XT are identical as far as the engine goes, this could be a good option at about $550 to $600.

If you want, I'll try to post a video with stereo sound, but I'll have to rely on someone to tell me how to do that and also catch her on one of the rare occasions that she's not out in her venom beastie, terrorising the neighbourhood.

Zeke, I'd love to see a video with sound of Mrs Z's XT. $550 - $600 sounds like a good deal too.

I've been told (by Thomson Ford) that Herrod systems don't void the car's warranty because of their involvement with Ford. Have others heard the same or similar? Does anybody know if this is incorrect?

Do any experts on here know to what extent you can go (if any) without actually voiding your warranty? Voiding the warranty is not something I'm particularly keen on doing!!

Just becareful with what dealer you take your car to with warranty issues. Pick one that distributes Herrod products (Brad Garlick or Thompson) and there won't be a problem.

Some dealers are more mod friendly than others.

I took my AUII XR6 with a complete Herrod system to Alto Ford in the City for it's first service. I was worried about warranty as well. I spent the day answering all the mechanics questions about my mods as they loved it.
