the ultimate exhaust note is a remus exhaust, the best sounding system by far and I have heard them all, I am waiting for dyno results

I havent heard the remus system, but a mate of mine that is testing exhausts on my car has..........he thinks its the best exhaust he has heard for the T.

Would be interesting to see what the power figure is like !!

PS, is that you chris ????? :)

What's the risk of the removal of the centre muffler having a negative effect on the power output?

Heard that the chip can "trip out" a bit and make some automatic adjustments that cause the engine to produce less power.

Don't know if I'd wanna risk it. :w00t2:

Mario,

Have a look at :

http://www.bestmufflers.com/Information/FO...0XR6%20DYNO.htm

You will find my dyno sheets there...........the car has been dynod stock and with various exhaust systems.............I think you will find all the info you need ranging from no centre muffler all the way to no cat (Please note that the car was NOT driven on the street with no cat as this is against the law. The cat was taken off PURELY for a Dyno run then replaced)

Any comments on the results ??

Tell us more, Mufflerman. Do Remus make a system specifically for the T? Where is it made? What does it cost? How much of the standard exhaust is replaced? Is it ss or mild? What does it look like? How is the availability? Can you post soundfiles? etc. etc.

My brother has a full remus system on his WRX and I must say it was the best sounding rex I have heard. Not loud unless you boot it, but it did not drone and was not obnoxious

I've heard a lot of good things about the sound of a Remus system as well.

I considered one for my AUII XR6, ended up getting a complete Herrod stainless system, extractors, cat, exhaust. It sounded great but I find that I'm now missing the arm and leg that I had to pay for it with.

Ive got an APS exhaust system. FANTASTIC for noise, sound and performance. :beerchug:

Mate , I too have the APS zorst and thought it sounded ok with a nice burble when backing of , until Nyopa ( forum member) took the beast for a spirited test drive on one of the cruises and for the first time I heard the zorst and cat under load from outside the car. I am probably a bit biased as it is my car but thought it sounded quite menacing without be overtly loud.

Actually Geeseman posted a vid of the Hunter cruise and you can distinctly hear the different note V the stockers if anyone cares to listen
