I went to the swan valley yesterday for a bday, we went to Houghtons another winery(cant remember name) and the Feral Brewing company(had some great tasting beer), it was a great afternoon. I should have my ute by then so I might actually be able to attend something now.

sounds great hawk man, count me in.

just got back from a weekend at pemberton.

some of those roads down to the tree top walk at wapole are absolutly scary in the wet at speed.

cost me over 200 bucks for new tyre on the way out of town.

4inch nail through the shoulder and side wall of rear drivers side tyre.

but, it was worth it.

I'm in.

I'll have a look through some of my past rally maps (all bitumen) and pick some prospective routes.

I don't have too much specific knowledge of various eateries etc, but as long as the food is edible and the vino is quaffable, I don't really give a monkeys.

PS post #300

well said davo.

hawk man I had a fantastic lunch at one of the winerys.

it was that good that I can't remember the name of it, but I will ask the war office and see if we can come up with a name.:3gears:

Great guys,

Davo, e-mail me when you have found your maps, a couple of mates here in Mandurah know of some good eateries, I'm not an expert on the Swan Valley.....now, Margaret River welllll!!!!

I'm sure we will get some excellent miles under our wheels, food in the guts and (spent) vino in the bladder

The only thing we will have to be wary of is Sring in the Valley - I presume everyone would not like to sit bumper to bumper @ 60 km/h through the main drag.

I am not sure when it is on but will post once I have the details.

Sorry for the delay in the post.

The dates for Spring in the Valley are 9 & 10 October 2004.

So long as we avoid that weekend it should be fine.

Looking forward to the details regarding the run.
