I have a question regarding this "edit" for the "T's" cpu. I believe that with the LS1 edit that if you get your cpu reflashed by GMH that you have to go back to the tuner and get the edit redone.

I can see a problem if this was the case with the "T". With bigger injectors nessecary at about 220-230rwkw's what will happen to the car if it gets reflashed by Ford and isn't able to run to get the re edit done by the tuner?  I believe that with the bigger injectors and stock cpu the "T" wouldn't run very well.

Thoughts guys. :o

Geea. :o

Why would it be a prob with injectors? The ecu still sends a pulse to the injector to squirt the fuel the big injectors just squirt more fuel. Dont they? Cant see your point

Tony

I think that the point is the bigger injectors will squirt more fuel compared to the std injector from the stock ECU calibration.

Ah I see So the ecucan tell the injector how much on each pulse? Im an old 650 double pumper man. These eletrical thingies take a bit of learning about. :nono:

I don't think that the bigger injectors would be a problem, because the O2 sensor in the exhaust manifold will tell the ECU to trim back the injector pulse time to maintain the correct A/F ratio.

I run an Apexi Power FC in my Sti, which is a replacement ecu.

A change in injector size is a simple matter of changing 4 values in the hand controller that I have.... I know as I changed from 440cc to 550cc injectors.

Obviously a PC interface would be a lot better, but a hand controller is better than nothing.

Each piggyback, replacement ecu or ecu edit will have different attributes.

We'll see soon what features the Batten product has.

I'd expect a ball-park figure of $1500-2500, and perhaps a cheaper initial price to get some market share.

If it's anywhere near as good as LS1-Edit or Ecutek (wrx) it'll sell very well.

My perspective is that it's still early days for mods, really only year 1 of mods.

That can't be correct. I was told that higher capacity injectors would not run in a lower capacity situation without causing problems.

 You could be right.

Seems to be a lot of questions about this new mod and no facts, but if it works I'll have a go on the N/A.

Sounds beter than the 'drive in, down load re-graph' form a Sydney dealer I got.

"15 other people with N/A's are happy with it, why arn't you?" Dealers reply.

Maybe I'm the only smart one out of 16 saps who put it on a Dyno 30 min later, you SHIFTY ASS HOLE!

To the dealer ship, you know who you are and so will everyone I ever talk to, if I don't see the $350 back soon.

"XR brothers, question any re-graphs from Ford, trust no one but the Dyno".
