To tell you the truth, when I got my T I expected the usual turbo lag sensation. But no, it hits you straight away. If you want to feel the "turbo" rush, it's better felt when you are a passenger. Mainly because you aren't prepared for what the drivers foot does (that's what I recon anyways). Oh and Dr Z's comment on the 98RON fuel is probably spot on. But if all else fails, modding a T isn't that expensive really. ;)

For me it felt more like a hot cam comming on at 2500 rpm, never owned an 8, just worked sixes, I p1ssed myself laughing when I took the T for a test drive, now...Where's the nearest mod shop?

My reaction to first test drive in a T.......gotta get one of these!!!! Simple as that. IMHO, if it doesn't impress you, somethings wrong with the car.....or you just stepped out of an A55 AMG or similar.

I think you mistankingly drove the ladies version (read automatoc), try a 5 speed.

nah - seriously I think they are deceptivley quick as they are so smooth and such a heavy stable vehicle you dont FEEL the speed but look down at the speedo and youll get a shock!

My old car was a 5 litre Commondoor, when I stepped out of the V8 and into the turbo and gave it a bootfull I was unimpressed, I then looked at the speedo and had to back off, way to fast. I bought mine a week later and sold the Commondoor. Cold nights mean serious fun though, now why does that traction control light come on all the time.
