My wife and I both enjoyed 99% per the day trip to Wonthaggi and Phillip Island. Thanks to George and Ms Aly for their organisation. My first cruise and it is great to see all the XRs together and to be part of a convoy of them heading down the highway.

I did say we enjoyed 99%. What's the 1% I didn't enjoy. Just 2km from home I ran up up the ar$e of a Suburu Liberty (not even a WRX!). XR came off relatively well. Pushed the grill back a bit, small crease across the bonnet near leading edge. Repairer tells me though the bumber bar needs replacing, bonnet repaired and along with paint it will be about $2500 damage. Thank heavens for insurance.

Soured the day a bit for me but looking forward to the next one.

Thanks again to great organisers and friendly others who attended. Good to put faces to names.

Me too Chris sorry to hear that...as they say cars can be repaired, at least no-one was hurt.

Hey maybe with the bonnet been repaired you can score a XR8 bulge if ya lucky

Gee that's bad luck Chris, sorry to hear that mate. If you ever wanted an xr8 bonnet, now is the time. Bogan special in Sydney $710 like mine.

If your insurance is ok with it, just get the panel beater to give them a cost on repairing the bonnet and see if you can get the xr8 bonnet put on and just pay the difference.

Just trying to come up with a positive side.

Good luck.

A big thankyou to Miss Aly and Blown BA for a great cruise.....

I was really surprised to hear my wife saying she had a fantastic day and that everyone was really nice.......

As usual, my son was over the moon and fast asleep after 5 minutes whilst driving home......

I supposed I enjoyed the cruise as well but also only 99%......

It sort of finished a flop as suddenly everone just broke away and left.....

Perhaps a coffee somewhere to finish the cruise would have been better......

Anyway, a really big thankyou to Miss Aly for offering us over to her place for coffee.

We would have excepted if my daughter was not so tired and becoming whingee.......it was a big day for her.......!!

Also, big thankyou to all the crew for the friendship and warm comments......

Its great to belong to a group where everyone is passionate about their cars.....

Hopefully next few days I will also post a few photos of the day.....

Count us in on the next cruise....

Sorry to hear about the 1% Chris.......hope you guys are alright??? Car can always be fixed, so look after yourselves........

Thanks Geea for your nice comments too........except its not really a car with the lot.....we did not get leather because of the kids:)

Great cruise!

I share everyone else's sentiments for you Chris! Bad Luck after a great day!

Thanks to Ali and George for all the efforts!

Now, the next one..... Perhaps somewhere up around Eildon/Mansfield as suggested by Michael?
