Are you talking just the K&N panel filter replacement for the original airbox?

If so, they are good value.

If you are talking about a conical style rampod filter in replacement for the original airbox, then factor in the $200 ticket for having defective noise control equipment as it is a berach of EPA regulations.

Pretty much the same, there are some good filters on the market, either or will do the same thing.

I think there is a thread where someone has compard the 2 on a dyno.

More noise, no more noticeable grunt, more noise from Credit Card with 10% increase in Fuel appetite. Waste of dough but, WGAF

I put in the BMC panel last weekend and I can say it is great.

It makes the car much louder on the induction side. You can now hear the blowoff valve and wastegate flutter. I am now waiting for the cops to pull me over and accuse me of having a external venting blowoff

I did not notice any real gain with just the BMC, but I did do the 56Mainline XR8 snorkel CAI mod on the weekend and now I really notice the response.

My car has been sick (buggered OC valve) so it drives like a N/A most of the time, but I can still feel the difference. The car goes in for service tomorrow, I hope it is all fixed for the Bathurst run

Plonky,

is it a 200 dollar fine from the epa or the police. I thought the pod filter was a 76 dollar on the spot fine, just like fog/driving lights.
