I saw a film clip of Garrett dancing on the telly tonight. Will he qualify for a disabled parking spot at Parliament house?

No offence intended to anyone here, but I find it somewhat amusing that Plonky works for 'the state' yet has quite right wing views and I beleive Lumpen runs his own business but is very leftwing. :kissmy: Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Myself? I would prefer not to enter into a political debate on a public forum as I have been criticised in the past for my extreme right wing views.

Damn commy scum :msm: Oops...

No offence taken

Though, my job is to ensure that people within the framework that the MAJORITY (legislation) want so therefore, in effect, we could be seen as keepers of the morals and traditions of the majority.

No offence taken at all CDM as that's pretty much the truth, strange as it seems.

Plonky, working for the state has probably seen the worst of what the state can do.

Myself being an Innocent, Idealistic, Untainted and Naive 20 YO still believe's that there hope for human kind...Give me five more year for reality to set in... :msm:

LOL at Dallas, when Garret dances he looks like he's been hit with about 20,000W in his rear! :kissmy:

True I think it has been a coup for Labour but I think that it has a Major chance of backfiring once again for Latham, it hasn't really yet ("Silent Roll"-Maybe) but Garrett's ego will open himself up for alot of broadsides, he's to conceited to let someone to bait him, also unfortunately he will be fast-tracked through the parliament to the front bench, either a minister or shadow minister for the Environment, once again people have been waiting for a cabinet post for many terms.

Latham's 'Pull out the Troops' policy should gain him votes IF HE STICKS TO HIS GUNS and not just sit there and not retaliate. The small target approach as favoured by Beazley didn't do him any favours (little wonder, how hard would it've been to make him a "Small Target"?) and it won't for Latham either. I just hope that he isn't a paper tiger like Whitlam On labour men were.

Garrett lost me in the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympic games. They are games of humanity void of political discussion and beliefs and all were strictly asked to abide by this.

So to see his band branded with these shirts got my back up. The rest of the world need not know our political battles at that time and place.

Oh well the govt. put there two cents worth in when FREEMAN lit the flame. Tell me that's not politically driven and Ill eat my hat. Dont get me wrong she is a good ambassador for the country but had not acheived no where near enough to warrant an honour such as that.

Hows about the great Don, for sh*ts sake the peaches, mangos, peaches blokes had one more medals than her.

THe use of actors/sportspeople to win Political votes is as rediculous as it gets. However it doesn't mean that it can't work. Last week we buried one on in Ole Ronnie, they've still got two in the Govenors of Cal & Minnesota. We just had one ex Olympic Skier Breast feeding in Parliament.

I'm of the opinion that they are only Parroting what they're told ala "Yes Prime Minister" & their hidden agendas as opposed to their staffs hidden agendas can vary greatly. This being said what do we expect or more importantly what do the majority of voters in any electorate expect from their Pollies. Oh & we're still overgoverened to the sh*thouse.

If you think PG will come in & just operate the way it works in his mind then, well I let you see for yourself.
