Wheels magazine official 1/4 mile time in a (manual?) XR6T is 14.3, I think that is done with 2 people in the car and 1/4 of a tank of juice. The quickest (official) time of heard from a XR6T is 14.1. This car was an auto, car belonged to Cam who I think is a member here but he sold his car (wants to buy an XR8 or GT!). There is a thread about it over at FordForums with a copy of his timesheet posted. http://www.fordforums.com/showthread.php?s...&threadid=29807

All times are very subjective and depend on conditions on the day. Motor magazine, I have noted did quicker times for the majority of their testing than Wheels. We are only talking 0.2,0.3 of second though. But with this Motor have claimed 5.98s for 0-100km (manual)

....with the auto's 90km/h first gear....

Don't know about 90km/h, 70-80 max, I think is probably more realistic in real driving conditions. Either way, your right in suggesting that 1st gear has legs! :D I love the SSS, and I know I say it every time :P (Just to stir up the die hard, can't be converted Manual owners... it's all in good fun :pinch: )

Has any of these thoery been proven?

Has anyone actually timed there own xr6t from 0-100.

Was it an auto or man.

Cause as soon as I get my car I know that's what I'll be doing.

:pinch:

I took my car to Norwood Automatics (Adelaide) to show the boys, look at the wa*ker shift they said , its a bit of a gimick they they said. Ha, bit of a different story when I took them for a spin These guys are into dragracing , and for them to say how good 0_100 is(180 klms on clock) made my day. To me I love the auto box , no shunting for me , and no stupid clutch to wear out.
