I use my own trusted mechanic and let Ford bend me over for tha majors or warranty issues. Everyone to their own as long as you keep within the boundaries of the warranty it's all good.

Extremely frustrating 30,000 kms :icon_ford:. My first preference mechanic was busy for 4 weeks and I had to get the service done asap. Story goes- Head ford mechanic doing the work, hmm relief. Informed him I'm very particular about this car, 7500k oil and filter changes and check over the car very regularly. Asked what oil they use,.. he wasn't sure? looked it up, oil for gas and turbo engines ford spec, said he thinks it's synthetic. Not so great as I use nulon always since 1500kms. Also asked for diff oil to be changed as it is listed as an extra service for 'extreme' conditions. Show him my 4" turbo side intake and said he didn't need to change air filter at all.!

So watched from a distance from time to time and saw him blow air into the air filter (F%$#@head) and when he went to drive out after the service I stopped him and got in for the ride. He was so surprised with the turbo that he didn't watch the road and swerved onto the shoulder. I told him ride is over!!:bopp: Apparently my diff oil was really dark he said so glad I got that done.

Got home and not after 5 mins of the car sitting in my garage I could smell oil through the house. Checked for leaks, none. Yet he had spilled oil allover my heat shield, manifold and under on the cross member. Just to be sure no leak, I checked my oil level. About 1cm over the full mark :nono: next day after 150kms driving went back down and insisted I watch this time, while he fixes it. The oil that came out was no sh*t, darker than nulon is after 7500kms. :blaah: Rant over,... morale of the story go elsewhere, choose your own oil and someone you can trust if not, somewhere you can keep an eye on them if you aren't sure on the service.
