My Service was $243.15, 3 months ago.

There is and additional 56 minutes labour charge ($60 per hour) for the Turbo model to check and tighten exaust and turbo bolts. This is in the service manual.

I wonder for the $140 services was this done??

Colin

Gents. My Mk1 T Man is due for 15K service. Stock no mods. I do feel it lacks the power at times compared to when I first got it but could just be my imagination.

Any words of advice re: what I should request from the service guys. How much should this service cost me?

Any comments would be appreciated.

My advice is to find a good service place (not ford) and get them to do a propper job. Then take the car to Ford for warranty and may be a PCM update

If you are taking it to a dealer make sure you get a price first, and don’t let them think you’re a sucker. I paid $103.00 or something (excluding oil and filter) but others have been hit with a bill around the $300.00 mark.

But I agree with Zap, you’d be better off going to a real mechanic somewhere. The only reason ford did my 15k was it was going in for a few warranty jobs at the same time.

Trent.
