On the other hand I've been told that your better of buying a good waste gate rather than fitting a BOV. This is what I have been told some of you might be able to confirm this, aparently you get minimun performance gains from a BOV and much better results with a wastegate, the information I have been given might be wrong. Dont forget the dealer will approve his own warranty repairs if needed so they arent going to knock themselves back because of the BOV. The joys of being a dealer l guess. As for us mortals, who knows where we would stand.

Wastegates and BOV's do completely different jobs. The Garrett turbo fitted to the xr6t already has an internal wastegate and there is NO need for a separate external 'gate. Dude, have a read up on turbos - try www.autospeed.com.au, good explanation and articles on such.

IT IS A PLUMB BACK SYSTEM .THIS BOV IS A VALVE INDUCED BOV . IT IS GOOD FOR AT LEAST 12PSI BEFORE U GET ANY LEAKAGE SO DONT GO WASTING MONEY IF THIS ONE DOZ THE JOB. NOW IF U WANT THE AHHCCHHHHOOOOO SOUND AGAIN DONT WASTE your MONEY ILL TELL U THE SECRET OF HOW TO GET THE SOUND FROM THIS SAME UNIT .SEE WHERE THE BOV IS LOCATED AT THE BACK OF THE INDUCTION PLUMBING DISCONNECT THE BLOW OFF WHERE IT PLUMBS BACK TO THE SYSTEM GET A PLASTIC STOPPER FOR THE HOSE THAT PLUMBS BACK TO THE SYSTEM (make sure there are no leaks cause car wont run)AND LEAVE THE BOV EXPOSED TO THE ATMOSPHERE THEN U WILL HAVE THE SOUND. FOR A $2 EXPENSE FOR A RUBBER STOPPER that's NOT BAD .PERFORMANCE IS THE SAME DONT EXPECT, ANY GAINS WITH IT, BOOSTING AT 6PSI well I conversed with my step-dad who is also an Engineer and we decided that this shouldn't cause any running problems at all. The pressure is still releast into the atmophere, it just into the inlet track before the turbo, the ECU shouldn't have any idea what's going on that side of the turbo and it doesn't need to.....so inclusion the ECU wouldn't have any idea wheather the pressure is vented to the atomphere to the open air under the bonnet or wheather it was vented into the inlet track before turbo....in other words it would make no difference what so ever....Dave.p.s they vent it into the inlet track to make it quiet, that the ONLY reason for it. Dont forget that the air being release back infron tof the turnbo is already pressurised.
