I don't want to turn the power off straight away only to discover that it is stuffing up my globe. I could end up with a hefty globe replacement bill! Posted 11/06/04 03:16 AM Share Posted 11/06/04 03:16 AM I think I'll just leave my light globe as standard, it'd be nice if it was a bit brighter, and also here in the NT you can run your lightglobe as bright as you want, so long as you are out of citys and towns....but I'm still worried about filament replacement costs and my warranty that would be voided if I modify my lightglobe and it fails.... Sometimes I want a lightbulb that provides just enough power to see and get around. You know, a bit of mood lighting.Other times I just want it dazzling and really bright and I don't care about the life expectancy of the lightbulb because this is usually for short periods only.I think it may be possible to install a switch to change from mood-lighting, for everyday use, to performance lighting when I really need it. Try moving the right hand lever backwards and forwards - the one with the blinkers on it.
