That avatar cracks me up Mondie

Does the shunt only occur in the manuals or the auto's as well?"??Is the shunt occurring in the Pursuits as well

The GT I drove was auto with about 6000k's and had no sign of shunt

Shunt is in all Boss powered cars mate, its a NCO. Not as noticeable in the autos due to the torque convertor acting as a dampener, and possibly also because the Tremec is contributing a bit too.

Duc, Mine is an auto and has no hint of shunt at all, you can get on and off the gas at any speed without any clunks or noises, same with gear changes, smooth but more positive than the turbo, floor it in either normal or performance mode and again it just drops the cogs and hang on, no clunks and bumps, manual changing in perf mode is the most fun, again, does what its designed to do with no noises, no prem brake squeal and no engine oil use issues, this one of mine is simply brilliant has not missed a beat in 7500clicks, power continues to increase, unfortunately for Simon he has problems with manuals, as do a few it seems, but it wasnt an option for me, the auto is great, Simon says the shunt is there, maybe, but hell, I cant find it in mine, and after the k's I've done it should have come about by now.

Great to hear your car is as it should be Merc.

Not all cars have shunt, its a random NCO :ermm: Redhawk reckons his car has virtually none also so unfortunatley you spend your $65k and take your chances.

Yep, mondie is right, I have very little shunt, I can make it do it if I try really hard, but normal driving it is fine.

Unfortunatley Ford have put a clutch in that is just up to the task...........built to a price.

I hope the HO has a bit more thought put into it, cause at 350kw the clutch they have put in the GT's will not be able to handle it reliably :ermm:

Never mind the drive lash.

For $60Kish are we expecting to much for a car of this weight/power to have no shunt? I choose auto for the smoothness
