Guest anycolouraslongas Guests Posted 02/06/04 07:48 AM Share Posted 02/06/04 07:48 AM Still waiting impatiently and more so now I got a message from the salesman that my car is at FPV and there is a hold up on the luxury pack. So my question is - at what stage is the lux pack put in - ford or fpv? - I know that fpv do all the sporty bits but not sure whether this story is BS or not. Based on the arrival of a few cars recently on here with lux packs I think it maybe a porky. Can anyone confirm or throw a bit of light on this for me before I do nasty things to the salesman. Thanks in advance

MAYBE (but im not sure) FPV may do just the sports leather seats.. (but it doesnt make a lot of sense)Sounds like BS. Tell your dealer you're not happy at his BS
Guest SS75 Guests Posted 04/06/04 04:51 AM Share Posted 04/06/04 04:51 AM Lux Pack is definitely done at Ford.. not FPV... MAYBE (but im not sure) FPV may do just the sports leather seats.. (but it doesnt make a lot of senseI agree the dash is from the Fairmont so FPV wouldn't be fitting it.I couldn't see the seats being fitted by FPV either, would be too much double handling, there is a tutorial on the FPV site that shows the cars as they leave the ford factory. I am guessing the 6T's are the same as the 8's. The cars are driven from Ford to FPV, meaning there is some sort of seating fitted, if they wern't the seats as spec'd with the car they would have to be removed and sent back to ford, more labour, freight etc. Plus the fact chances of damage would increase during the transport. The tutorial is downloadable, it shows the XR8's leaving the factory with no bumpers, spoilers etc and the process which is carried out at FPV like badging etc. I found it really interesting and well worth the download. Guest anycolouraslongas Guests Posted 04/06/04 07:53 AM Share Posted 04/06/04 07:53 AM Tnx SS75 will have a look.Emailed the salesman with those thoughts and funnily enough haven't heard back. I also said I knew of 3 delivered within the last week - so I think he got the message. Glad to hear it's badged at fpv cause I've told him on the black turbo badge not the red - black on black mmmmm.

Going for the stealth look! I'd like a chrome turbo badge rather than the black on my red car.

Guest anycolouraslongas Guests Posted 05/06/04 01:16 AM Share Posted 05/06/04 01:16 AM as long as the crownies are cold don't care how they come - but no harm in asking for everything I want for my car - and black turbo badge on black car appeals to me so I want it - god damn it -
