Thank you to everyone for the well wishes and encouragement! You share your enthusiasm for all new T owners and it fully reflects the community-minded spirit we are blessed with here! :spoton:

After 551 kilometres of "spirited" driving over a 27 hour period, I have come to the conclusion that the Auto Transmission T is an awesome drive, except one minor driving glitch.

In normal Adaptive mode, beginning from a speed of 80-90 km/hr when you give it a bit of a more open squirt (say to overtake), you hit a flat spot or as someone I once recall on this forum described as an "invisible barrier" where no more power comes at all. It is like your throttle response is stuck in limbo and it almost always happens at or close to the 4000 RPM mark. I am at the stage now where I can confidently replicate the situation. When this happens, you then have 3 choices:

1. Leave your throttle response there, but no additional power comes, so that is not an optimal choice.

2. Back off the power by taking foot off the pedal, then apply power and it applies throttle response the way you would expect the first time, however this is not an ideal way to drive.

3. Really open up the throttle and it kicks past this "barrier" by quickly sending you into 5000+ RPM levels, though this is clearly an "over-the-top" fix to a problem that should not be there in the first place, although it is fun. :o

I recall reading a few threads about this and it seems throttle-response related. If memory serves me right, someone mentioned something about having the dealer "flash the ECU" to fix the glitch. I have booked in with the dealer and hope they fix it on Tuesday so I do not have to "drive around" this situation all the time.

If someone knows something about this and/or has had it fixed I would appreciate you letting us know or PM me, so I can enjoy some peace of mind this weekend. :o

Safe and happy driving...Dr Z. :gooff:
