Dont underestimate the quick times the LS1's can do especially with a proper tune and on slicks. However, we aint talking about running slicks. Those mods done to the SV8 would come to over $1600 anyway and the fact it was running slicks makes comparing it pointless. We are talking about a Heavy Auto XR6T sedan running a 13.3 with only a unichip ($1600) in full street trim. Lets compare Apples with Apples not Apples with Oranges. Oh wait it also has slicks. And 4.11's in the diff. But its still stock. How about supplying all the info first before you state that's it's stock with nothing but a tune, you are just misleading people.
DrewBytes Member 95 Member For: 21y 5m 23d Location: Canberra Posted 29/05/04 06:08 AM Share Posted 29/05/04 06:08 AM (edited) A 4.11 spool diff would certainly help those 60' times as Scotty has said. Its a pity the 60' time wasn't mentioned in the thread (I didn't see it anyway).Anyway, that is one impressive piece of driving to get an M6 down the 1/4 that quick.MickMick, you are right - it is very impressive to get an M6 down the quarter that quick with those mods. The guy who did the driving (PlanB) is renowned for being very, very good down the quarter behind the wheel. To those that think NO2 was involved, you are wrong. Simple as that.XR6T13s, yes you can't compare that to an auto XR6T auto. My apologies again, I was just going from memory about that car. There are several auto guys on the forum though with shift kit, edit tune, diff gears and on street tyres running mid 12's, after spending about $3500 on mods. There's quite a few threads about it over on LS1.Both cars have great potential for not little outlay. When you guys get an Edit type product look out, you guys will start going quick(er) like the LS1's did. Especially my ute :-) Best 60ft is a 2.3 on street tyres for me. So not to bad but a lot harder than say a auto sedan.CheersTim

As a potential customer of APS I'm far far more interested in the potential results of Peter's Unichip product in my car than him as a person.Peter is in business and his website looks professional; he has good spelling and grammar; his website does too; and the pic of his premises also looks impressive. Drew, I took a quick squizz at your website too, its not too bad either.Ive privated msged 3 ppl who use his Unichip and I may follow suit as a result of their feedback. I would rather see constructive comments based on actual facts accompanied by real world data/power graphs to substantiate your comment, this would be more helpful to forum members, until then your comments are just your opinion, not based on fact and enginering data. How any person can pass comment on a technology which has not been tested on the XR6T engine is completely absurd. RegardsPeter
