unifex,

try doing a search buddy, this topic has almost as many threads as the HgAy vs. "insert other colour here" topic.

why will you punch them out? I read they were going to release one and it was mostly weight reductions.

I'm sure it will be a "virtual" punch - you won't feel anything in reality.

Current issue of Wheels states that Series II is due Aug 04 and I quote "...suspension tweaks likely".

Oh good news I got onto a Ford Rep today and found out that he has just got back from the XR6 factory. He is going to ring me back tomorrow with some info about series 2. If I get any good info I will let you guys know.

Anyway back to fuel usage. Has anyone got an average of 12 or 13 or are most people up around 14 and 15?

What do people use premium or ulp ?

Uni,

My car is 5 weeks old. I get around 15.

I drive it like I stole so I cant get it to go higher than that on average.

Why dont you get a lease where they pay for the fuel as well. That is what I got. I pay like 1848 a year for juice and used 500 in the first month of having it. If I go over the 1848 I still dont pay anymore.

Just my thoughts

Good luck with your choice. They will both be a fun drive I am sure.

Wayne

I get 13.5km around town, mainly in peak-hour traffic each day. Car is now 10,000km.s old. Highway is 10l/100. That is actually better than my series 1 AU XR6. Gotta be happy with that. PULP all the time now, mainly Optimax which I think helps too.

Ford told me today that the series 2 will be october (not august) and will have the same mechanicals with some tweaks to suspension. Ford is apparently looking at weight but no gaurentees. The interior dash board is going to be changed to the (similar) same as the territory. Steering wheel change (whatever that means) seats changed. Seems like the major changes are interior ones.

Bloody hell. What do you do when you aren't at uni???

I am doing the same mate. Thought about buying a block of land but I promissed to myself that I would buy a new car as a uni graduation present. I am 21 so there is plenty of time for property. Mine wont be brand new but will be close to, cant wait.

I Finsihed Uni November last year and have been working in my field of expertise since my second year of study so I walked straight into that job full time last year. But they pay sucked so I left and went to the firm I currently work for and in three months I have enough to purchase my Black Betty, that's how much extra these guys paid me.

I am only just 22 myself and I too think property can wait 12 months, then its on for young an old!
