Guest Scootre Guests Posted 26/05/04 09:22 AM Share Posted 26/05/04 09:22 AM (edited) Good news Cro.Love the "forgot the oil" bit. That's just beautiful. Oh well... on the other hand... be glad it was the dealer and not the car builder...How long did they have it for? Espeically with the box changeover?I wouldn't be surprised if mine's going to get chnaged at some stage.Edit: I was just thinking though... we all like to b!tch about our dealeras and the sales guys and so on. But really... the service depts at the dealerships are the guys who are going to make or break the next car sale aren't they? Hills Ford service dept are bloody brilliant. Sounds like yours is too. Nice to see. Looks like FoMoCo have a lot to be thankful for. Edited 26/05/04 09:24 AM by Scootre

I hope they didn't shove your 'box into mine that was at the very same dealership workshop today! Talk about coincidence. I got the software flash as well and well the rest is for another post!A. Don't tell me that GADAN's going to get faster ! :woot2: Let us know the next time you get it dyno'd - will be interesting to see if it's making any more rwkw... APS Peter, are you reading this?I'm actually more interested in a run at WSID again. I was getting consistent 14.4's so I'm sure I'll be able to get consistent times which are lower. Thanks all for kind words It's good to finally get somewhere with ford, now I just have to start battling the nations population of Kangaroo's and Fox's :lol:Now that I've had a bit of time to drive it, I can say it is almost 100% fixed. They're doing something with my diff in a couple of weeks, sunroof rattle, and couple of other bits and pieces.I can actually recommend a new Ford to people that ask me again!!! Same colour, could be some confusion.Anyways, good luck Cro.I have my car booked in for a service on Monday at Gregory's. The problems:- Driver seat belt won't retract properly- Aircon etc fan in the cars cabin making a sqeaky noise- Oil Consumption Test (Even though less oil is missing compared to before. Before it was barely on the dipstick, this time it's barely touching ok, but oil is missing. Maybe the problem will go away).- Engine whine in speaker (have to get an update on that "problem" fax they sent to FORD. Apparently very rare occurance... good one).Oh and my seat doesn't squeak yet and I'm only about 120kg's.Pretty minor issues on my part. If I have other issues I can't remember them so they aren't really issues.

I was told this by Gregory's, and today they are rattling like crazy. This is on-top of not changing my oil, or air-filter.What else is done at 45k service that I should check?I know I should check the oil filter, where about's is it located so I can see how dirty it is....Thanks
