I feel for you mate that's a long list. A mate of mine has a $200,000 X Type Jag R spec V8 twin superchargers nice car went like a cat out of hell ,but he has only had it to drive for a total of 6 weeks out of 12 months due to ongoing problems, as we speak,it still sits in a dealership garage with a sheet over it

One guess who owns Jaguar.........

Which carby did the hose blow off mate???

Sell it

Seriously, for the money you would lose selling it you should maybe consider hiring a lawyer to take up your case with Ford and the relevant consumer body in your state. Getting action by yourself will be very frustrating and likely unsuccessful.

Good luck.

Having dealt with all sorts of bas*ard :spoton: organisations (car dealerships, banks, realestate companies) over the years, your first stop should be the consumer affairs department.

The media will not touch your story unless you have exhausted all regular channels, this includes consumer affairs people, arbitration, and small claims etc.

Ian,

Sorry to hear of your problems, and I sympathise with you in the respect of the repair work that has been undertaken on my car most of which parallel your listing.

I am still working on a complete resolution for my situation and have been chasing it down for 7 months in total, however I have been relatively patient insofar as I am still waiting for the whole situation to be finalised.

I must point out however that the original fault reported with my car did not prevent me from driving it, It would seem that yours does.

Best of luck with it,

PM me if you need any more advice or assistance, also canvass Cro for his advice too, I even helped him draft a letter to Ford Australia.

Consumer affairs usually gets them going, heard if a cause where nissan tired to get out of a warranty claim for a 200sx. cause the engine stuffed up, since they didn't make it anymore, they needed to import the jap spec engine , more power etc than aussie spec. Claiming that the aftermarket exhaust played a part in the engine stuffing up....soon as he mention consumers affairs.....they go things moving big time

I love having an AU series III, makes you wonder what all the fuss is about.

I really think Ford need to be pulled into line, but how do you do that?? The avenues for doing so are either very costly or time consuming, so there is really no point, its cheaper to trade it in on a euro car I think.

So much for the BA being Ford's hero car aye!
